But they’re also performing a comprehensive oral cancer screening. We use advanced technology like ultraviolet light to see things that aren’t visible to the naked eye. This is a standard part of what we do because your overall health is just as important to us as your smile.
Dr. Dean also takes a close look at your teeth and gums to make sure everything is in optimal condition. If we see a spot that looks like it might become a cavity, we might suggest a fluoride treatment to strengthen that enamel or a dental sealant to protect the deep grooves of your back teeth. These are simple, comfortable steps that save you so much time and hassle down the road.
