Cerec Dental CrownCrowns in an Hour

Crowns in an hour are now possible with CEREC technology.  You make a visit to the dentist because of toothache, or maybe for your bi-annual checkup, and you get the bad news: you need a crown. You’ll have to schedule two appointments – one for preparation and placement of a temporary crown, and one for placement of the permanent crown.

Now, imagine getting a dental crown in only one appointment – without the hassle of a messy impression and a temporary crown. Crowns in an hour are possible now with new CEREC technology.

We Feel Your (Tooth) Pain

We understand the inconvenience patients face with a traditional crown. With traditional dentistry, a crown starts with the dentist preparing the tooth and taking an impression, which is then sent to a laboratory to be manufactured. You are sent home with a temporary crown. Besides often being uncomfortable, a temporary crown can sometimes can come off prematurely at inconvenient times.

But a crown can save a tooth that may otherwise have to be removed and replaced with a prosthetic. Delaying treatment due to hesitation or a busy schedule isn’t a great idea.

After taking a 3D image of your tooth, our CEREC machine can mill a strong, beautiful restoration in about an hour. That means Dr. Dean will simply take a picture of your tooth instead of a messy impression.

After about a 20-minute wait, your new, permanent crown will be ready. We’ll permanently place the crown, and you’ll leave with a full, healthy smile, all in one visit!
