Our dental office is committed to providing our patients with the absolute best standard of care. We are equipped with the Galileos 3D CT Scanner, which allows us to obtain 3D radiographic images of your teeth, jaws and facial structures. The Galileos 3D CT Scanner was developed in Germany as a spin off from Siemens Technology. This scanner allows us to get accurate images with the lowest does of radiation and one of the quickest scan times of any similar scanner available today. By combining this low-dose technology, our office can quickly and accurately review anatomic structures in 3-D perspective making our dental procedures more accurate and predictable. This scan takes about 15 seconds to take and about 4 minutes to process or render in the office. By utilizing this technology, we do not have to send our patients out for scans to radiology labs, thereby making it more convenient and cost-effective.
The radiation from the Galileos Machine scan is 29 microseverts or 2.9 millirem. This is less radiation than a standard full mouth set of dental x-rays. This radiation exposure is a fraction of the radiation from a medical CT scanner.

Cone Beam 3D technology allows the merging of dental implant and restoration planning that is state of the art. This allows accurate tooth replacement and restoration by allowing virtual implant placement on your 3D images. This information may then be used to make a surgical guide allowing precision placement of implant with minimally invasive surgical techniques. This allows the patient to recover quicker and makes dental implant placement more successful while minimizing complications.
